What are the opening hours of De Nieuwe Winkel?

De Nieuwe Winkel opens Tuesday through Saturday starting at 6:00 PM. We do not serve lunch, only dinner.

How can I make a reservation for next season?

In our newsletter, we will keep you informed about the availability of each upcoming season, so you have the opportunity to make a reservation first. You can easily subscribe to this newsletter through our website.

How does the waiting list work?

If your desired reservation date is no longer available, we recommend signing up for our waiting list. Everyone on our waiting list will get notified as soon as a table becomes available by e-mail. Keep in mind that you’ll only be notified about the specific day you signed up for. Although there are no guarantees, cancelations happen regularly. Everyone has an equal chance, if you respond quickly you will make the reservation.

How often does the menu change?

We have a new menu three times a year. It changes with the seasons: so in spring, summer and winter. Read more about the three seasons.

Can I change the number of people in my reservation?

Changing the number of people in your reservation is only possible when a table with the desired number of people is available. If you booked a table for four people, it is not automatically possible to also come with two people. A table for two must be available.

Will I get my money back if I cancel?

The deposit will be automatically refunded if you cancel more than 48 hours prior to the reservation.

Are you a vegan restaurant?

We do not serve animal products, only plants, so our menu is vegan.

Can I come and eat with allergies?

You are absolutely welcome to come and dine. Please note that we work in a small kitchen, and there’s always a risk of cross-contamination. Don’t forget to inform us of your dietary requirements when making the reservation so we can make necessary menu adjustments with ample time.

Can I come and eat with a group?

We have room in our restaurant for groups up to 6 people. For parties of 7 or more, we have our private dining. This is a separate room where you eat at a long wooden table. We coordinate the menu in advance. The private dining has a maximum capacity of 10 people.

Do you have gift cards?

We choose not to issue gift cards. It proves to be difficult to make a reservation and we want to prevent people from not being able to redeem their gift card. Previously purchased gift cards remain valid of course.

Are dogs allowed in the restaurant?

Dogs are not allowed in the restaurant.

Are you wheelchair accessible?

We are in a monumental basement and have limited wheelchair access. Upon entering there are four steps down and once inside there is a one step height difference between the hall and the restaurant. Needless to say, we are happy to help with these obstacles. Once inside, we do not have a disabled toilet.

The private dining is unfortunately not accessible to wheelchair users due to the raised table.

Where can I stay overnight?

There are a few places we recommend you stay: Hotel Manna, Hotel Blue, Guesthouse Vertoef & Lino City Hotel. All four hotels are within walking distance of the restaurant.
